Pix Media – Big Ass FAQ & Policy Page

Why This Page Exists

Over the years, I’ve poured my heart into this work — showing up with kindness, creativity, flexibility, and full commitment to making your project shine. I’ve stayed up late, done extra revisions, moved mountains with last-minute footage swaps, and said yes when I should’ve said no.

And you know what?

That level of openness got exploited.
By disorganized clients.
By ghosting.
By “just one more quick edit” that turned into ten.

So this page?
This is my shield. My sanity. My “please read this before messaging me at 11PM on a Sunday.”

I’m still kind. I’m still understanding. I love what I do and I care deeply about your vision.
But now, I’ve built boundaries. And this page is the gate.

Let’s get into it.

GENERAL WORKFLOW

How do I book you?

  • Fill out the contact form or email me directly.

  • A 50% deposit locks in your date and starts the process.

  • Nothing is confirmed until that deposit is paid.

How long does editing take?

  • Standard turnaround: 1–3 weeks, depending on complexity.

  • Need it fast? Ask for rush rates.

FILE DELIVERY

How do I get my stuff?

  • Delivered via Google Drive / Dropbox unless your package includes an online gallery

  • Files stay online for 30 days — after that, retrieval = $50 archive fee.

  • Back your shit up — I’m not your cloud.

REVISIONS & CHANGES

How many edits do I get?

  • No free revisions.

  • Revisions cost $80/hr or $100 per round.

  • Changes due to lack of direction, unclear briefs, or “we changed our minds” are new work, not revisions.

  • TL;DR: Think before you brief. Pay if you change your mind.

ASSET DELIVERY

What do I need to send you?

  • Everything. Logos, fonts, footage, music, voiceovers — upfront.

  • Your edit does not start until I have all assets.

  • Trickle-fed content = delays + chaos.

WEATHER

What if the weather sucks?

  • You’ve paid for drone but grounded due to weather? That’s nature. No refunds.

  • Want another shoot day? Book it — at full price.

  • I don’t control the rain. If you’re worried, get insurance.

WEDDINGS & EVENTS

What if I miss something?

  • I can only capture what’s available, organised, and happening in front of me.

  • If your day runs late, key people are missing, or there’s no time for shots you wanted — that’s not on me.

  • I am not your event planner, your timekeeper, or your psychic. I am your documentarian.

  • If you want specific moments, you must allocate time and space for them.

SOUND, LIGHTING, TECH

Will you fix bad environments?

  • I’ll do what I can, but bad lighting or audio can only be polished so far.

  • Want studio sound? Book a mic.

  • Want that crisp look? Don’t film in a dark shed.

PAYMENTS & REFUNDS

How do payments work?

  • 50% deposit to start

  • 50% before final delivery

  • No refunds on deposits

  • Late payments = $20/day fee unless otherwise arranged

CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING

Can I cancel or move the date?

  • Cancellation within 7 days = full fee still owed

  • One reschedule allowed with 48+ hours’ notice

  • Second reschedule = $100 rebooking fee

CREATIVE RIGHTS & USAGE

Do I own the footage?

  • You own the final product for your use.

  • I retain rights to use the work in my portfolio, website, social media, and marketing.

  • Full copyright buyout? Ask for pricing.

GHOSTING & MIA POLICY

What happens if I disappear?

  • If I don’t hear from you for 30 days, your project is archived as “completed.”

  • Reopening the project later = $100 restart fee

REAL TALK ZONE (THE HARD BOUNDARIES)

  • I do not chase clients.

  • I do not accept vague briefs and then redo the entire thing later for free.

  • I do not tolerate disrespect.

  • I do not work with people who assume creativity = servitude.

Final Note

I love this work. I love turning your ideas into something real.
But I’m no longer burning out to make it happen.

If we’re aligned, we’ll make something beautiful.
If you’re organised, clear, and respectful — I’ll be the best creative you’ve ever worked with.

Thanks for reading the Big Ass FAQ & Policy Page.

Let’s do this right.
